Exhibition: Photography by Peter Blasl


Peter Blasl has been an award-winning photographer, working since 2005 for the North Shore Sun. His pictures of nature have been admired by local residents for years. Newsday, Suffolk Times and the News Review have also published Mr. Blasl's photographs. A lifelong resident of the East End, Mr. Blasl concentrates on scenic landscapes of Long Island as well as native animals and flowers. He has won numerous awards, including the NYPA Better Newspaper Contest Award for spot news photo, sports action, feature and art photos. The Friends of the Library invite everyone to a reception for Peter Blasl on Saturday, August 8, from 2:30 - 4:00 PM

In the Glass Case: Carvings by Richard Webber

Mr. Webber, an avid outdoors man spent many hours observing wild life in their natural habitat. His carvings reflect his love for animals. Some of his pieces where carved 45 years ago. Currently he specializes in smaller carvings to accommodate limited space. Everyone is invited to meet Mr. Carver at the reception, Saturday, August 8, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.
