Reflections of New York City: Photography by Monica Agosta


Award winning photographer Monica Agosta will display her artistic views of New York City buildings, seen under many different lights and reflections. A resident of Long Island and a free-lance photographer, Ms. Agosta worked in Manhattan with the Associate Press. In 1998 she interned with WABC TV. Among her numerous awards was an award for her "Badlands" mages. In 2007 she also received 1st Place in Landscape and 3rd Place in Water categories from Lifetouch National School Studios Contest.

In the Glass Case: Pottery by Jo Ann Cugno Meehan

Ms. Cugno Meehan was the owner of the Chamber Street Pottery in Manhattan where she created decorative and functional pottery during the 1980's. She fired her stoneware in one of the few reduction kilns that existed in New York City. At Leisure Glen, where Jo Ann Cugno Meehan currently resides, she teaches and continues to create hand built pottery.

The Friends of the Library will sponsor a reception for photographer Monica Agosta and for potter Jo Ann Cugno Meehan on Sunday, October 18, from 2:30 to 4:00PM
