Exhibition: Photographs of the Long Island's North Fork by Steve Berger

Well-known, award-winning photographer Steve Berger currently concentrates on documenting Long Island's North Fork. In the past he recorded historical buildings in Riverhead in cooperation with the Riverhead Landmark Committee that were on display at the Suffolk County Historical Society. A resident of Jamesport, Mr. Berger recently finished documenting local houses for the planned South Jamesport Historic District. He maintains a studio/darkroom in Jamesport developing his primarily black and white pictures from negative to prints mounted, matted and framed. The Friends of the Library will sponsor a reception for Mr. Berger on Sunday, April 1st from 2:30 - 4:00 PM.

In the Glass Case: Artifacts and Jewelry from Tibet

Anindita Ghosh, world traveler, writer and teacher displays artifacts she collected on her trips to Tibet as well as jewelry she designed and created from materials she brought back from there. Some of her creations are traditional pieces and others are her own vision. Ms. Ghosh travels alone to the far corners of the world, from Mongolia to Morocco, from Tanzania to Tibet. Don't miss her presentation Friday, April 27 at 7 PM.
