His subjects include scenes of life in Brooklyn and Manhattan, pen and ink drawings of native Americans and scenes of nature. His work has been displayed in New York City and on Long Island. Mr. Maggio received first place for his work "Scenes from my Childhood" by the Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council .He also was awarded prizes by the Brooklyn Arts and Humanities Council, the Town of Oyster Bay and the North Shore Art Guild.
