December 2010 ART EXHIBIT

A fine arts photographer, Ms. Miller works with digital photography to enhance her work into new abstract visions of vibrant colors and movement. A resident of Rocky Point, Ms. Miller is mostly selftaught. Although she always was drawn to photography she was able to pursue her passion with more energy after retirement. Her work was shown in several group exhibits on Long Island including the East End Arts Council, the Brookhaven Arts & Humanities Council where she won 2nd Place in Digital & Mixed Photography in 2008 and the Phoenix Gallery in Bellport.

In The Glass Case:

Illustrations by Anna Jurinich
Award winning artist Anna Jurinich will display original drawings of her latest book illustrations for the childrens’ book “Gingerbread Cookies for All Season” by Frederick Terry. Ms. Jurinich has illustrated several books, including the Italian cookbook Mamma-si Mangia? and Where Do The Balloons Go? Her painting “The Button Collector” was part of the first Long Island Biennial at the Heckscher Museum this fall.
