December 2011 ART EXHIBIT

Visions in Oil by Ralph T. Iervolino

The paintings in this exhibit were inspired by the brilliant colors of light often seen in the Long Island sky. Mr. Iervolino, a retired Director of Social Work in New York City, has been a long time summer resident of Rocky Point. Although painting and drawing were always part of his life, he is now able to pursue his passion by studying at the Art Students League. His work is part of several private collections and has been exhibited in Manhattan and on Long Island.

In the Glass Case - Handcrafted Work by Rosemarie Schulz

Wearable and decorative pieces created and designed by Ms. Schulz are on display. As a young child in Europe, she was fascinated by knitting and crocheting items to keep warm, and her love for this practical art continued all her life. She now donates many of her handmade pieces to charities.
All works reproduced with permission from the artist.
