Friends of the Library
The Friends of the North Shore Library are a volunteer group founded in 1979. The purpose of the Friends is to support the North Shore Public Library in its efforts to serve the community. The Friends are committed to supporting the library through volunteerism, fundraising, outreach, advocacy, and supporting requests made by the Library Director.
Past library projects in which the Friends have participated include:
- Beautification of the traffic circle
- Creating and raffling of a quilt
- Organizing a community antique sale
- Sponsoring exhibitions
- Installation of a library bookdrop

The Friends will accept donated books and
DVDs in good condition but are unable to
accept textbooks, encyclopedias and VHS
tapes.
