JANUARY 2004 ART EXHIBIT
Works by Mabel Salom
Our first exhibit for 2004 features colorful paintings by Colombian artist Mable Salom. These paintings reflect the South American culture of the artist's birth in color and subject. A lawyer by training, Ms. Salom never lost her love for art and continued to paint over many years. She was most influenced by painters Paul Gaugin and Vincent Van Gogh. Her works have been shown in several galleries on Long Island as well as in Colombia. Works on display in the library include oil on canvas, watercolors and pastels. Ms. Salom currently resides in Rocky Point.
