"Letters and Beyond" Works by Hajime Okubo
Mr. Okubo, a long time resident of Rocky Point presents his three-dimensional work as well as a group of mixed media collages. As a child, Mr. Okubo was already curious about the universe and the possibility of life on other planets. He was influenced by the art of Paul Klee and other modern artists. Mr.Okubo's work reflects his early interests
combined with his experience living in many different cultures. Mr. Okubo has exhibited his work at the Oakland Museum in California, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and various galleries in New York, California and Tokyo. Everyone is invited to meet the artist at a reception sponsored by the Friends of the Library on Sunday, January 9 from 2:30 - 4:00 PM.
