March 2016 ART EXHIBIT

The City, The Island & Abstracts, by Scott Farrell

This exhibit presents the scope of Mr. Farrell's multifaceted work, including urban scenes, architectural and abstract images, landscapes and macro photography. He worked for 22 years in the media industry recognizing the power of photography, and launched his own photography studio in 2012. Influenced by photographers like Ansel Adams and Walker Evens, and painters such as Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer, Mr. Farrell tries to capture a moment in time as he sees it.
Most recently one of Mr. Farrell's pictures was selected by National Geographic to be part of the 100 Years celebration of the National Park systems.

The Friends of the Library invites everyone to meet the artist at a reception on Sunday, March 6, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM.
