Jack Licitra as he leads us with world percussion rhythms, voice and
dance. Drumming brings people together, and lets us express ourselves

Itchy Feet Travel Series: Among the Tsaatan Wednesday, May 15 at 7:00 PM Enjoy
a slideshow presentation of an adventurous woman's three month journey
to the remote landscapes of northern Mongolia. Anindita Ghosh will
share her experiences of visiting the Reindeer Nomads of Mongolia.
Dance Workout Masala Bhangra Saturdays, May 25, June 1, 8, 15 10:30 - 11:30 AM Dance
to the infectious bhangra dhol (drum) beats and leave feeling
invigorated and stronger. Masala, means 'spicy' in Hindi and, Bhangra,
is a traditional dance from the northern part of Punjab, India. You
will tone muscles and burn calories. There is a non-refundable fee of
$17 to be paid at the time of in-person registration that begins May 1.
CONCERT:
Kirtan! With Shaktipath Friday, May 31 at 7:00 PM Experience
live kirtan with the musicians of ShaktiPath. Kirtan is a call and
response singing tradition that originated in India. Come and enjoy
this evening of voice, music, and community.
Multi-level ESL Class Tuesdays, May 7 & 14, 6:30 - 8:30 PM This
is a multi-level ESL class for new English speakers, beginner through
intermediate levels. Improve your speaking, reading, writing and
understanding skills.

This collection is available for adults who need materials in two major
areas: Basic Literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages.
Basic Literacy provides tools for adult learners to read and write
English while English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) assists
those who are learning to speak English. Books, Audiocassettes, CD's,
VHS, DVD and computer software are available. Information and study
guides for test preparation for U. S. Citizenship is included in the
collection.

of print components to stimulate all the senses that a
learner employs in the language acquisition process.
The course is divided into themes that come from
real-life situations -shopping, visiting the doctor, looking
for a job. The course focuses on the needs of
Hispanics, with words, phrases, and idiomatic expressions
from everyday life.
