September 2012 ART EXHIBIT

Exhibition Prints by Jerry McGrath

A resident of Wading River and a retired SWR teacher, Jerry McGrath is a long-time sport fisherman. He is also known as Captain Jerry, because he is a licensed USCG boat operator. Mr. McGrath’s deep connection to nature brought him to photography, which exploded with the arrival of digital cameras and computers. During his annual trips to Alaska, he not only caught fish but captured remarkable images of eagles, sea lions, otters and whales. This exhibit also includes sunsets from locations around the globe, various wildlife that inhabits Long Island and local scenes from the Wading River area. Mr. McGrath’s photos convey enjoyment of the peacefulness of a summer’s evening by the water.
