September 2016 ART EXHIBIT

Paintings by Judith Schutzman

A retired English teacher, Ms. Schutzman has made her passion for painting pastel portraiture and drawings into a full time commitment, expanding her experiences and observations by traveling with various art study groups. This exhibit mainly shows her Chinese Sumi-e work, which she studied in depth with Sungsook Setton of Setauket. Ms. Schutzman feels that "painting is a manifest reverence for the natural world, a record of the drama of clouds, and the peace of sunrise."
The Friends of the Library have scheduled a reception for Judith Schutzman on Saturday, September 10, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. Everyone is invited to meet with the artist.
