Contemporary Evening Book Discussion: The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing
March 26 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The Grass is Singing, by Nobel Prize winner Lessing, centers around the murder of a farmer’s wife in 1940’s Rhodesia. Written as an extended flashback, it details racial politics and the mental and financial disintegrations of farmers struggling to make a living off the land, while also exploring the simmering nature of revenge.
