Art Exhibit - Local Color: Long Island Landscapes by Jon Van Brunt

Jonathan Van Brunt’s paintings explore the diverse landscape of Long Island. Using acrylic and oil paints he celebrates the rugged beauty of nature that is throughout the island. See below for art classes hosted by Jon as well as a closing artist reception.

Art Classes: Landscapes with Jon

Monday, May 11, 6:30 – 8:30 PM & Tuesday, June 30, 5:00 – 7:00 PM

Nonrefundable fee of $8 (cash/check) paid at in-person registration. The May-June NSPL exhibiting artist, Jon Van Brunt, will guide your eye and brush in painting one of our Long Island beaches where land meets sea. All materials included. Registration is required for each class and begins 5/1 (5/5 non-residents) for May, 6/1 (6/5 non-residents) for June.

Closing Artist Reception with Jon Van Brunt

Tuesday, June 30, 7:30 – 8:30 PM

Jon will share his plein air painting experiences and how he uses color, light, and form to create immersive atmospheric landscapes. Reception is hosted by the Friends of the Library.
