Lobby Pickup Is Available Upon Request

Call the Library at (631) 929-4488 to reserve your materials, or request them through the online Library catalog. When your items are ready, you will be notified by the Library (**Please allow up to 24 hours for any lobby pickup requests to be fulfilled and ready**).

Lobby Pickup is available Monday - Thursday 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sunday 12:00 - 3:00 PM (Seasonal). 
  • Once a request for items is made, we will hold items to be picked up for three days. There is a limit of 25 items per request.
    • Crafts are also available to pick up, just let a staff member know what you will be picking up.
  • If you need a staff member to bring items out to you, please park in the designated "Library Spot" near our handicapped lot and call (631) 929-4488.
    • Please wear a face mask when retrieving your items, staff members delivering items will also be wearing a mask.

Search our catalog here to find items and click REQUEST. Enter your barcode and password, then select North Shore Public Library as your pick-up location.

OR

Call us at (631) 929-4488 and ask to reserve items. A staff member will search for your requested items and reserve them. You will need to have your library barcode available.


Renewals & Returns

Most items that do not have holds on them can be renewed online or by phone, and all items can be returned in the outside return box by the Library entrance during Library hours.


Interested in a book bundle for your child? 

Fill out this form and a Children's Librarian will put together some book suggestions for you. You will be called when your book bundle is ready to pick-up.
