Along with the many resources on this page, as well as the growing number of online resources on the Online Resources page, please take advantage of the following resources that may be helpful for you or someone you know and love!



Accessing the Library

As an alternative to the steps into the front of the library, the library has two entrance walkways…one on either side of the entrance steps. The walkway on the left is wheelchair accessible and enters the library’s side entrance. The walkway on the right side enters through the front doors. Please make it easy on yourself and feel free to use these walkways to visit the library.


Homebound Services
If you or someone you know is homebound and cannot come to the library due to a permanent or temporary disability, please contact the Reference Desk at 631-929-4488 ext. 225.

Large Print Titles
The library has a comprehensive collection of both fiction and non-fiction titles including most new releases. “Reader’s Digest” and the “New York Times” are also available in Large Print Format.

Music and Memory
This personalized music therapy program is designed to enhance the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, and other degenerative neurological diseases. Please contact the Reference Desk at 631-929-4488 ext. 225. 

Community Outreach
We will be your guest speaker. If your Senior Club would like to learn more about the library and what we offer, please call 631-929-4488.

 


Senior Information Center
Check out the display stand that has information on all of the Library’s senior programs, as well as helpful and informative pamphlets and brochures of interest to seniors. Located in the front of the library, across from the Circulation Desk.

 

Senior Services Brochure
We’ve put together a brochure especially for seniors, describing library services and programs designed for you. Come in and pick up your copy!

 

Wheelchair Available
The library has a wheelchair available for patron use (with a family member’s or friend’s assistance) while in the library building. Please ask at Reference. Assisted Listening Device Available Portable personal listening devices are available for use during any library program. Please ask a Reference Librarian for assistance.

 

If you need special accommodations, please let the library know 48 hours in advance.
