Local Modern quilters are back to brighten our early spring with a new selection of colorful quilts they have created to share our inspirational process, as expressed through our quilts. We are modern quilters, pushing the boundaries of quilting while experimenting with color, design and quilting stitches. Quilters participating in this exhibit are Lynn Fullshire, Roberta Leonard, Mario Mulea, Barbara Ryan, Louise Smit & Randi Vogt.
In the Glass Display Case: Antique quilts created in the early 1930’s by a LI Quilter are on display. She used up-cycled clothing and feed sacks stitched by hand and a treadle sewing machine to create these utility quilts.
- The Friends of the Library invite you to an artist reception to meet the quilters on Sunday, April 7, 1:30 – 3:00 PM
All works reproduced with permission from the artist.
