After 35 years working as a carpenter, Robert Maggio reconnected with his first love – art. As a boy he took classes at Pratt Institute and attended classes sponsored by Norman Rockwell and Albert Dorne. An award recipient from Brookhaven and Brooklyn Arts and Humanities Councils, his art portrays life in Brooklyn and Manhattan around 1940-1950, street scenes, Long Island landscapes, and renderings of Native American men and women.
