Below you will find all Children’s programs through June, including their registration dates and other information!


June Programs

Registration is required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. Registration for June programs begins Thursday, June 1, at 9:30 AM. Child’s age/grade MUST be entered in the note field in order to confirm registration. Each child must be registered using their own library card. Each library card only reserves one spot per program.

Online registration is recommended. Program space is limited and classes fill quickly.


Kids Bookmark Contest! – June 23 – July 26

Help kickoff our Summer by being part of our Bookmark Contest! Children up to Grade 5 are invited to design their own bookmarks. The winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed throughout the library for patrons to take home. All bookmark entries will be displayed in the Children’s Department to view. Visit the Children’s Department for Official Entry Form and Bookmark Template.


June In Person/In Library Programs 

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – Child’s name and age/grade MUST be entered in the note field in order to confirm registration. Each library card only reserves one child per program.

  • Children Entering Kindergarten and up attend programs independently unless otherwise noted.
  • Late Arrival Guidelines: A grace period of 10 minutes will be given to patrons attending a program. Admittance after this arrival time is at the discretion of the library staff.

Totally Two’s Storytime, Age 2 years with a parent/caregiver

Monday, June 5, 10:15-11:00 AM

Children must be 2 years old to register for this program. Enjoy this themed storytime where families will hear stories, sing songs, and create a simple craft.


Tots Night Out: Sea Turtles, Ages 18 months – 4 years with a parent/caregiver

Tuesday, June 6, 6:00-7:00 PM

Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. in this fun and fast-paced preschool readiness program. Children will learn through music, movement, fine and gross motor activities, as well as a storytime. Explore cool sea turtles and make a fun craft!


STEAM Storytime: Let’s Explore!, Pre-K, Ages 3-5 years with a parent/caregiver

Wednesday, June 7, 10:15-11:00 AM

Join Miss Danielle for this hands-on storytime science program! Explore the world of STEAM through read-alouds, tinkering, and exploration.


Super Smash Bros Ultimate Party, Grades 3-5

Come show off your skills and compete against friends as we play Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the big screen!


PlayPalooza, Pre-K, Ages 3-5 years with a parent/caregiver

Learn through play in this hands-on program! Adults and children will get moving with different ways to explore and learn through multiple manipulative stations, stories, songs, and a craft.


Father’s Day Portraits, Pre-K, Ages 3 years – Grade 5 with a parent/caregiver

Celebrate Dad with a special portrait! We’ll create a portrait and frame to be gifted to that special guy in your life.


Read & Rhyme Wiggle Time, Ages 12-35 months with a parent/caregiver

Join Miss Lynn to shake your sillies out! Listen to stories and get moving during this interactive program.


Stay & Play, Ages 6-35 months with a parent/caregiver

iPads To Take Home

Call or visit the library to borrow a Children’s iPad loaded with age-appropriate and educational games! iPads come pre-loaded, without internet access and can be borrowed for 14 days. Call the Children’s Department for more information or to put an iPad on hold at 631-929-4488.
