Annual Summer Reading Club: Oceans of Possibility

Children Ages 3 years – Entering Grade 5 are eligible to register for the Children’s Summer Reading Club.

  • Registration begins Friday, June 24.

Bingo cards filled with all your summer reading challenges will be available online or in-person. They will also be distributed in schools. Look for a copy in your child’s backpack

World Turtle Day Kit, Grades K-5

Pick up beginning Monday, May 23 – Saturday, May 28

Celebrate World Turtle Day with Miss Michelle! Enjoy this fun science lesson all about turtles and make an adorable turtle planter. Pick up your kit and work alongside this video.

What’s more fun than a night at the library? A Time for Kids presents this fun and fast-paced preschool readiness program. Families will work side by side through music and movement and make an adorable bird’s nest craft.

Babies and their grown-ups will enjoy music, movement, dancing and more!


Toddlers Tango, Ages 18 months – 4 years with a parent/caregiver **In Library**

June Programs 


Registration for June Programs begins Wednesday, June 1. Child’s name and age/grade MUST be entered in the note field in order to confirm registration. Each child must be registered using their own library card. Each library card only reserves one child per program.

Online registration is recommended. Program space is limited and classes fill quickly.


Our giraffe needs a name! Visit the Library Monday, June 27 – Saturday, July 9 and fill out a form to tell us what we should name our new mascot! We’ll pick our favorite name on Monday, July 11 and the winner will get a special prize.

Big and Small Busy Kit, Ages Birth – 35 months

Pick up a craft kit all about opposites! Kits come complete with a simple activity, surprise giveaway, and keepsake board book.


Magical Unicorns Kit, Grades K-2

Explore unicorns with a recommended reading list, and make an adorable unicorn craft at home.


S’mores Parfait Kit, Ages 3 years – Grade 5

Pick up Monday, June 13 – Saturday, June 18

One kit per family. Combine pudding, marshmallows, graham crackers and fluff to make the most delicious parfait!

Enjoy this “on the farm” themed storytime where families will hear stories, sing songs, and create a simple craft. Children must be 2-years-old to register for this program.

A Time for Kids will present this interactive program which will include group songs, games, and a simple craft.

Join A Time for Kids as we learn all about Spring and bugs! Get moving with some fun songs, and make a special caterpillar craft to bring home.

Listen to a story and then create your own miniature garden, fit for a fairy!


Infant Sign Language, Newborn – 4 years with a parent/caregiver **In Library**

Wednesdays, June 8 & 15, 10:15-10:45 AM

This is a 2-session workshop. Sing, play and sign to help your child develop future literacy skills in this interactive class. Siblings are welcome.


Father’s Day Chef, Ages 3 years to Grade 5 with a parent/caregiver **In Library**

Work together to decorate a chef’s hat and apron for that special guy in your life! One kit per family.

iPads To Take Home

Call or visit the library to borrow a Children’s iPad loaded with age-appropriate and educational games! iPads come pre-loaded, without internet access and can be borrowed for 14 days. Call the Children’s Department for more information or to put an iPad on hold at 631-929-4488.
