Below you will find all Children’s programs through February, including their registration dates and other information!

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – Child’s name and age/grade MUST be entered in the note field in order to confirm registration. Each library card only reserves one child per program.

  • Children Entering Kindergarten and up attend programs independently unless otherwise noted.
  • Late Arrival Guidelines: A grace period of 10 minutes will be given to patrons attending a program. Admittance after this arrival time is at the discretion of the library staff.

Special Program – Armadillos and Their Animal Friends, Featuring Award-Winning Author, Elizabeth Shreeve!, Ages 3 years – Grade 5 with a parent/caregiver

Wednesday, February 5, 6:00-7:00 PM

Are they time-traveling dinosaurs? Giant walking seashells? No…they’re ARMADILLOS, wonderful oddballs that have ambled through the Americas for millions of years. Award -winning author, Elizabeth Shreeve will present the writing, research, and design process for The Oddball Book of Armadillos. Ranger Eric Powers will share some LIVE animal friends that Armadillos would encounter in the wild.

Listen to a reading of Pete the Cat: Valentine’s Day is cool by Kimberley and James Dean, then create a step-by-step watercolor painting of either Pete or Callie to take home!


Sweet Hearts, Grades 3-5

Paint ceramic hearts and decorate a Valentine’s Day Card to give to that someone special in your life.
